Another week has gone by and we've grown a bunch again! We were at the pediatrician yesterday for the Synagis shot (to prevent us from getting RSV) and they were huge. Will weighed 10 lbs 14 oz., Xander weighed 10 lbs 11 oz., and Grace weighed 10 lbs 4 oz. They've changed our formula, from a high calorie one to a regular one, so our growth may slow a little. But, the doctor is very pleased with our development. We are sleeping better some nights, others, not so good (last night was one of those nights). But, it shouldn't be too much longer until we can drop a night feeding. Mom and dad will like that!

We had their pictures professional taken last week and the photographer has them posted on her website. Go to www.kabloomstudios.com and type Niebuhr in under "client." You'll be able to see the best ones out of what she shot. They turned out very cute, if we do say so ourselves!

A fun picture!

Aunt Lisa put them in this pose on Friday. It turned out very cute. Will is on the left, then Grace, then Xander. They were good sports!

These guys sure are growing and changing a little everyday! Xander has grown and changed the most. We think he passed Will in the weight department, he's huge! 0-3 month clothes are now fitting them well, before they were too big. They are spending more time awake each day, but it's not always happy awake time. The night are going well, they finally have the days and nights un-mixed-up, which mom and dad are happy about! We are just staying home, warm and dry, out of the snow. They had their pictures professionally taken on Sunday, so when the those pictures are up on the web, I'll post the link so you can check them out. They were done by a person who is fantastic with Photo Shop, so they'll be very artistic and Anne Geddes like, with lots of digital effects.

Top: Xander - see how his face has filled out. He's enjoying the fish in the aquarium bouncy seat.
Middle: Grace fell asleep while watching TV with daddy.
Bottom: Sleepy Will, with fuzzy hair, waiting for his turn to have a bottle after his bath.

Tired!

Everyone is very tired in the Niebuhr household, growing babies included! Poor Daddy doesn't get much sleep at all, plus he has to work all day. He claims he sometimes finds himself dozing off at his computer. Coffee is now a part of his morning routine (it never was before!). Grandma Ellen has been spending some nights here, and it's making her tired, too. Grace and Will are having some sleepy time in their bouncy seats as mom and dad get ready for the day. The "Baby Einstein" video just wasn't entertaining enough to keep them awake. Mommy is learning to get by on 4 or 5 interrupted hours of sleep a night. Boy are we looking forward to the time when they will sleep through the night! Right now, they are sleeping between 4 and 5 hours at a time. And when one wakes up to eat at night, we wake the other up, too and everyone eats. Hopefully sleeping more than 5 hours isn't too far off. How much longer can mommy and daddy function on this little sleep? Not much!

The Niebuhr triplets are two months old today! Wow! How time flies. We also had our two month check up at the doctor and you know what that means - shots! We had 4 shots each. We were pretty grumpy and tired after that. But, we are all still growing so fast. Will was 8 lbs. 9 oz., Xander was 8 lbs. 8 oz., and Grace was 8 lbs. 3 oz. The boys are 18 1/2" long and Grace was 18" long.
Good news for Mom and Dad. We no longer have to wake them up at night ever 4 hours to eat. We can start letting them sleep until one or more wakes up, then feed them all. Which means, we may be getting more sleep, eventually!

Visitors

We've had lots of visitors to the Niebuhr household lately. Grandpa Mike had some quality time with all three babies on March 1st. Aunts Kara and Lisa come over to help feed quite often. They are watching TV in high definition and feeding babies at the same time. Lacey and Frannie Clark, Brian's cousins from Shenandoah, IA came to see the babies for the first time since they've been home from the hospital. Lacey is holding Will and Grace.

The triplets are all over 7 lbs! We went to the pediatrician on Friday, February 24th and Grace was 7 lbs even, Xander was 7 lbs 2 oz, and Will was 7 lbs 7 oz. They are growing like weeds! They also got a shot to prevent them from getting RSV, which they did not like!

Here they are having some play time under the baby gym!
