Disney 2015

OK - So I totally forgot I haven't posted any pictures of our Disney trip in October. It was such a crazy time it totally slipped my mind until Brian said something last week. Between myself, Lisa, Ellen and the pictures taken at the parks, we have over 800 photos. I will abbreviate and hit the highlights and it may take me a while to get them all up, but I will!

These are from Christmas morning at home. Santa was good to them this year! He brought tablets, video games, books, headphones, clothes. 

 I found these ornaments shopping while we were at Disney. They're the characters on their shirts and they say 2015. I thought it was a cute keepsake!

Christmas night was at the Hoefs. Yummy food and lots of fun!

Sorry with the huge drop of pictures. I only realized the other day I hadn't updated since before Christmas! I got so absorbed with the holidays, then after the holiday projects, Here are all our pictures from Christmas. We had a really good holiday, and a nice long relaxing break before we went back to school! The days after Christmas, the kids played video games and hovered over their new tablets. I did some scrapbooking and bing watched Netflix while doing that. Brian played video games and read. It was fantastic! Kind of sad to go back to work and school!

Heritage School

The kids' 4th grade classes went to Heritage School in December. It is an 1890's school house where they go learn like pioneers did. They had to dress up like pioneers and bring a lunch in a metal pail. We packed real ham (not deli sliced up) sandwich, real cheese, a whole apple, and real (not baby) carrots. I even had some snickerdoodles on hand for Christmas, so I gave them that (even though pioneer kids wouldn't have those on a regular day, only special occasions.) We wrapped it all in wax paper and covered it with a cloth. I even put in a jar for them to get water from the well to drink. Thanks to the Grandmas for Grace's dress. It was one my mom had made for a pioneer presentation from her teenage years in 4-H. It was a little big on Grace, though so Ellen altered it and made a bonnet. It was cold the days they went, so Grace wore a long sleeve t-shirt and fleece leggings under her dress. And they all wore their 21st century coats. Both Will and Xander won the spelling bee that day, they were pretty proud. What a neat experience for them!
