Here are a few pictures from Thanksgiving at the Niebuhrs house this year. We actually didn't celebrate any Thanksgivings on the actual day. We ended up staying home and having a "do nothing" day. I made brunch, everyone played then we ate pizza and watched movies in the evening! It was fantastic! We did Thanksgiving at the Hoefs on Friday and watched the football game while the kids played. Then we went to the Niebuhrs on Saturday. The weather on Saturday was fantastic, about 70 degrees and we took advantage of it. We took a walk and the kids and grandpa, Brian and Chad played in the backyard. You can tell by the pictures that Grace was not feeling good (she looks terrible in the pictures!) She was actually pretty sick, on her 4th day of a high fever, body aches, congestion and coughing - the boys hadn't gotten anything yet. We ended up taking her to the doctor the next day, Sunday. They didn't like what they were seeing on her and actually sent us to the hospital for a chest x-ray and blood work. They thought she might have pneumonia. Turns out she didn't, but she did have a secondary infection so they gave her antibiotics. Unluckily for us, the boys started getting sick about that time. Xander started coughing a ton so I took him in on Wednesday that week after Thanksgiving. He also got antibiotics. The nice doctor asked if Will was sick also (which he was) so they gave me antibiotics for him without even ever seeing him! So, after about a week they were finally all healthy again and (knock on wood) we've been healthy since even when everyone around us hasn't!
