This was a good soccer season. Both teams improved immensely and were prety competitive in their games. Both teams were really working well together and had a lot of fun. They did so well that both teams are moving up to Spirit soccer - which is the competitive league. Not super different, but a few more games and uniforms.
The boys went to a soccer tournament in Beatrice in mid-June. It was sooooo hot that day, and the boys played 4 games! It was 5 v 5 on shortened fields, and they had 10 boys total to sub in and out, but still, it was a lot of running and playing on a hot day. Xander scored his first goal and had a couple of great saves as goalie. Will did some good work as goalie. The championship game ended in a tie and had to go to a shootout for the winner. After the 3rd shootout, we finally won! The boys were ecstatic. We were proud at how hard they played on a hot day!
