Happy Easter 2012

Xander really is that much taller than both of them. He is wearing size 7 pants, and they are almost too short. The problem is that he is very skinny. I've been buying slims, but I'm worried that 8 slims will be too big, too. He's just so tall. Poor Will just isn't growing as tall, but that is probably due to so many steroids. He'll catch up eventually. Grace is actually taller than he is now!

With all the cousins on the Niebuhr side. From left: Xander, Carter, Camden, Callan, Grace and Will.

My contributions to dinner at the Hoefs house. Above: Jello. This took me all day Saturday and 8 packages of Knox to make. It was yummy, though.

With Sebastian.

Our annual Easter dessert competition. There was no clear winner this year, although Brian really liked Meagan's strawberry creme pastries.

This was my Easter dessert, chocolate cake pops shaped like eggs in the "grass". They weren't as cute as I had hoped, but they tasted good!

We had a nice Easter again this year. Our schedule was slightly thrown off by the fact that the kids had to sing the children's choir at church at the 11 service. So, we were able to get up, let them open their Easter bunny baskets then get to church in time to eat breakfast there. We didn't get to the Niebuhrs until after noon, and they were ready to eat when we got there! So, we ate right away, then did egg hunts and such. The kids ran around like crazy people, ouside thankfully because the weather was beautiful. We came home for only an hour or so, before we went to the Hoefs for more food and more eggs. The Easter bunnies were generous this year. Each kids came home with almost $20 from all the egg hunts. Lucky! They had a great time and were exhaused when we got home around 8:30 on Sunday night. Thank goodness there was no school on Monday. I don't think they would have made it. They were tired and grumpy all day. They were much better Tuesday, thankfully and back to their regular schedule. Hope everyone out there had a blessed Easter! More to come later!!

Brian and Erin - so much fun to see how the kids have grown and at least be able to keep up with you this way. I love the pics and comments you put on the blog! And a Happy 35th Birthday to Brian today!
