Slip and Slide

Here are some pictures of the kids playing on their slip and slide on Sunday afternoon. We tried to beat the heat, but ended up with three freezing kids, because the water was so cold! I think they had fun, though. The best part is when Brian threw them down the slide. They liked that. We don't really have any hills, so they only could go down as fast as they could run.

We have been swimming every chance we get lately. We mostly have been going to the Y. Xander and Grace are really enjoying swimming. They now love going underwater and swimming and diving for toys (they used to hate this!). Xander loves for me to throw a diving rocket, then he'll go after it (think fetch!). Grace loves to throw her diving toy in from the side then jump in after it. Will has been a little afraid of the water lately, and won't do much, although he does love his water slides. We went to Star City Shores with mom, Kara, Sebastian and my friend Jessi on Friday afternoon. The boys spent about half the time going down the kid waterslide, and Xander spent the other half of the time underwater. Will enjoyed spraying people with the fountains they have there. Grace had fun swimming but was a little too scared to go down the waterslide. We will probably go back to Star City Shores on Saturday morning, there is a pool party for all the kids who finished the library's summer reading program. There will probably be a ton of kids there, but they will still like it. The city pools close soon, but luckily the Y outdoor pool stays open until Labor Day. We may swim some afternoons when kids are in school, hopefully it won't be so crowded for us! That's all for now!
