Pumpkin Patch

On Tuesday, the Multiples Club had an outing at a pumpkin patch/farm for kids that we went to. It is normally closed on Tuesdays, they opened just for our group, so we had the place all to ourselves with many of our multiples club friends. The kids had a great time, the weather was GORGEOUS, about 75 and sunny. The kids played on hay bales, "roped" cattle, looked at a all manner of farm animals, did a hay maze, played on an antique tractor. We even took a hayrack ride, roasted hot dogs and marshmallows for dinner and picked out good looking pumpkins. (We usually wait until later in the year to get pumpkins and always are stuck with mediocre ones, but not THIS year!!) We took Carter with us and all 4 kids had a great time! It is quite a way from Lincoln, east of Avoca, so the drive took us about 45-50 minutes. We didn't get home until almost 9:00, with four very tired, overly wound up kids. They did fall right asleep, though and our front porch looks nicely decorated with so many pumpkins! I love fall!!!!!
