Marching Band demonstration

We had a nice time on Friday night down at Memorial Stadium for the marching band demonstration. We met Dale and Ellen and Kara and Sebastian there and ate at Spaghetti Works before hand. The weather looked stormy, but it never did rain and the clouds kept it cool. Overall, it was quite pleasant! The kids enjoyed the band, as they did last year. We left before it was over, as we had 4 tired kids.

On the walk back to the parking garage, we had our first swearing incident in a while. Grace wanted to run to a light pole, but Ellen wouldn't let her because it was through a big pile of mud. So Grace responded "Dammit!" Ellen and Kara just raised eyebrows at each other and Ellen said "Don't say that word." and that was the end of it. (By the way, that is Brian's fault. He says that word ALL the time! Especially when he's angry at Xander, which is often.) She hasn't repeated it, but we'll see what happens. Stinker!
