Happy Easter 2013!

We had a nice Easter. The weather FINALLY warmed up a little so we could do egg hunts outside. Luckily, we were all healthy by then, too (Brian and I both had a stomach flu bug earlier the week before). We had to go to late church on Easter because the kids sang with the kids' choir, so we had some time to open baskets from the Easter bunny and search for eggs the bunny hid around our house. He hid them so hard we didn't find one until later that night!!

 

 The Easter bunny brought new pajamas, candy a new t-shirt, and a few other little things! They also got several dollars in eggs! Fun!

 

After church, we went to the Niebuhrs for lunch and more candy, egg hunts and presents. We had a nice time, the kids always have fun searching for eggs all over the place. They're quite fast at it now!

 

 

I didn't take too many pictures at the Hoefs that night, we were pretty low key at that gathering. Kara has had shingles really bad, so Nick and Meagan decided to stay away not to risk Meagan getting them. We just ate a light dinner, played and searched for eggs outside. The adult eggs were particularly difficult to find this year, we spent more than a half an hour looking for them all, but it's very profitable to find them, so we persevere! All in all, it was a nice holiday. It was especially nice not to have to go to school the next day. The kids and I got lots of work done in the house the next day!
